From early on in the 2018 recruiting cycle, Edward Hendrix has been arguably the top name on the Syracuse coaching staff’s board at the wide receiver position. The highly coveted wideout from Washington DC tweeted today that he’s set to make his college choice this week.

At about 6-foot-4, 185 he’d enter the Syracuse offense as an outside receiver, and would be (presumably) the third at that spot in this year’s class were he to pick the Orange. Syracuse has commitments from Taj Harris and Anthony Queeley, in addition to slot receiver Cooper Lutz.

The Woodson High wideout was, until recently, teammates with Syracuse linebacker commit Juan Wallace (Wallace transferred to IMG Academy this summer). If Syracuse is able to land Hendrix, it would certainly help Dino Babers and his staff hold on to Wallace as Georgia, Maryland, and other schools sniff around.

Hendrix has a top 10 that includes Syracuse, Maryland, North Carolina, West Virginia, Kentucky, Temple, Louisville, Virginia Tech, Pitt, and Wisconsin.
