Louisiana quarterback Lindsey Scott is the latest commit for Scott Shafer and the Syracuse University football program, and it’s starting to look like the reason it took this long to discover him and get his verbal was because someone was busy creating him for a video game. Last night Scott put on a ridiculous show, tallying more than 560 yards of total offense in a 49-46 win for his Zachary High squad.
Scott completed 20-of-25 passes for 358 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions, and as if that wasn’t impressive enough, he added 18 carries for 208 yards and three more touchdowns. And remember, he’s doing this at the very highest level of Louisiana high school football, class 5A, where he was the state’s Offensive Player of the Year last season. Call me crazy, but it’s looking like he’s well on his way toward defending that title with performances like the one he put on last night.

By the way, Scott wasn’t the only commit who had a big night last night. Moe Neal rushed for 121 yards and added 128 receiving yards, and became the all-time leading scorer in Gaston County high school football history.
