Hey everyone, look! We have actual news about Andrew White! After what’s been mainly radio silence over the past month, which included a visit to Miami, Jon Rothstein has reported that the Hurricanes are now no longer under consideration for the 6-foot-7 guard/forward.
Miami is no longer a potential landing spot for Nebraska grad transfer Andrew White, sources told @CBSSports.

At this point, it would appear that there’s virtually no other option on the table outside of Syracuse, unless White decides to shock the world with a mystery school or by staying home with VCU. Now, that doesn’t make an awful lot of sense considering White’s looking mainly to improve his draft stock by playing for a high profile program.
Virginia Commonwealth is a successful program, but if he wants to get on national TV and gain even more attention from NBA scouts and play against the best competition, it wouldn’t make a lot of sense for him to wind up there. About the only possible reason for White to choose VCU, at this point, would be to stay closer to his family.
Classes start at Syracuse in a little over a week, and late registration closes on September 6. Basically, no matter what happens with the sweet shooting swingman, originally from Richmond with stops at Kansas and then Nebraska, we’ll be finding out for sure in the next two weeks.
