One of the most talented players in Central New York, point guard Malik Zachery, will be reclassifying into the recruiting class of 2018. The 6-foot-2 playmaker for West Genesee will also be looking to make a move to the storied NEPSAC next season.

Zachery put up monster numbers in CNY this year, averaging 24.1 points, 5.6 assists, and 5.5 rebounds per game as he led his team to the Section III Class AA title game. Over the course of the season, he had some huge games, pouring in 45 points against Baldwinsville and 37 against Corcoran.

In all, Zachery scored at least 30 points six different times, and only dipped below 20 points in six games. He notched double figures in every game he played this past year, and was a Class AA All-Tournament pick.

Right now, Zachery is still deciding which prep school he will attend next year.
