When the Syracuse University football staff chose not to bring in any wide receivers in the recruiting class of 2015, we knew that the position would become a priority for 2016. I’ve already talked about guys like Taysir Mack and Kolton Huber as early targets, but Scott Shafer and his staff have recently offered two more receivers: Jacob Morgenstern and Binjimen Victor.
Both receivers have great size, with Morgenstern measuring in at 6-foot-4, 210 pounds and boasting a reported time of 4.6 in the 40. The New Canaan, Connecticut native holds offers from all over the Northeast so far, including Boston College, UConn, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Temple, and Yale. He also has received some interest from the likes of Duke, Northwestern, and Michigan. Check out his highlight reel:
Binjimen Victor, is another ESPN Top 300 recruit, coming in at 274 on their most current list. Victor has great size for the position at 6-foot-4, but has a long way to go to fill out his frame, weighing in at just 170 pounds. Rivals rates him as a 4-star recruit, and the Coconut Creek, Florida native already holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Cincinnati, and Tennessee, among others. He’s got a reputation as being a special athlete, and the combination of his height, build, speed, and quickness might have some people thinking of Randy Moss when it’s all said and done.
